The Journey...

We will begin our journey at Victoria House in Redhill and walk to Gatwick Airport from where we will fly to Gaborone, Botswana. In Gaborone we will visit a women’s refuge and spend some time finding out about the challenges faced by women and workers in their fight against domestic abuse.

From Gaborone we will journey to Francistown, from Francistown to Maun - where we are hoping to visit further women's projects, Maun to Kasane, Kasane to Victoria Falls, Victoria Falls to Kasane, Kasane to Francistown and back to Gaborone. We will fly back to Gatwick and then walk the final kilometres back to our office in Redhill.
In total we will travel 2,000km (a km to mark the life of every woman lost since 1993 in England & Wales) - not including the flight distance. Throughout our journey we will tie a ribbon to mark the passing of these women, remember their life and celebrate the thousands ESDAS have helped survive since we were founded!
